The Exhibition Hockey Series brought more action as the 6ix Hockey team faced the Impact Hockey at the Scotiabank Pond – Rink 1. The 6ixers headed into this game after a convincing 3-6 win in the game against the THS. And on the other side, the Impact Hockey won 3-2 against the Mavericks.

6ix Hockey Team Review
The 6ixers headed into this game in great form as they won their last three games. Moreover, those three wins in a row showed that this side has great potential and their confidence is high. Therefore, the were the favourites heading into this clash. But they faced a tough opponent as Impact Hockey looked solid in the early minutes of the game.
However, the 6ixers are a team that is great on the counter-attack. Forward Brandon Nye stole the puck in the 18th minute and managed to score a coast to coast style goal for a 1-0 lead.
After the goal, the 6ixers had to play well at the blue line and goaltender Martel made some great saves to deny the Impact Hockey team. The 6ix Hockey team went on the break with a 1-0 lead.

In the 2nd period of the game, the 6ixers had to play a smart game. Their opponents were pressing high, but the 6ixers managed to contain the Impact Hockey. That paid off as John Franceschetti made it 2-0 from close range.
The 6ixers were now on track to win their 4th game in a row. They defended well and goaltender Martel was top class between the pipes. They did concede a goal with 10 seconds left on the board, but the win was secured.

Impact Hockey Team Review

The Impact Hockey team expected a tough game against an opponent that is in great form. And they played in the early minutes of the game . However, they were not able to withstand the offensive game of the 6ixers and conceded a goal in the 18th minute of the 1st period. After the conceded goal, the Impact side still looked solid and had some good chances to score, but the opposing goaltender was in fine form between the pipes. Also, they were mostly contained by the defensive line of their opponents. They ended the first period of the game 1-0 behind. But everything to play for in the 2nd period.

The Impact Hockey side increased their pressure and managed to create a few chances. Nevertheless, they conceded another goal after a swift counter attack.
What is worth to mention is that this young time showed a great character and belief as they battled with the 6ixers. They managed to score a goal in the last minute of the game, but were not able to hit the net again. Therefore, it is safe to say that they deserved something out of this game, but they faced a really tough opponent.

Final Thoughts
This was a great game between two teams that showed great fight and resilience. However, it was the tactical maturity of the 6ixers that made the difference in this game. They are in a great form and this was their 4th win in a row.
