The Don Mills Flyers faced the Toronto Red Wings at the Victoria Village Arena.
The Flyers lost their last GTHL game against the Reps with a score of 6-4. And on the other side, the Red Wings lost 3-0 in the game against the Titans.

Don Mills Flyers Review
The Flyers were the favourites to win this game based on the table standings. However, they were not able to justify that as they were not playing well in the first 5 minutes. Also, they conceded a goal in the 7th minute of the game. Two minutes later, the Don Mills side conceded another goal and they trailed 2-0 at the end of the first period.

In the 2nd period of the game, the real Flyers were on the ice. They scored a goal in the 1st minute of the game. It was Luca Marrelli that scored the goal after a precise long-range shot.
Three minutes later Luca Marrelli scored another goal after a swift counter-attack. That goal gave them confidence that they can win this game. Therefore, they increased their risks going forward. They lacked concentration at the blue line and were caught in a counter-attack which resulted in a 3-2 lead for the Red Wings.
But the Flyers have grown in recent weeks and scored an equalizer a minute later through Krocicki.

In the final period of the game, the Flyers were not risking with their offensive line. They took a more cautious approach. But still, hade some notable chances through Cummins and Saroglou. Yet, they were not able to take advantage of those opportunities.

Toronto Red Wings
The Red Wings looked like a team that is one of the best in the league. They dominated the early minutes and managed to open the score in the 7th minute through Aretusi. Two minutes later, Grahn made it 2-0 for the Toronto side. A great team celly followed and the confidence levels were high in the Red Wings campus at the end of the 1st period.

In the 2nd period of the game, the Red Wings faced a completely different Flyers team. Therefore, the Toronto side defended for a prolonged period of the game. They were not able to withstand the pressure and conceded two goals in the first 4 minutes. However, the Red Wings slowly got back into the game and managed to take the lead again through Pal in the 12th minute.
But they conceded another goal right after the restart. The period ended 3-3 with everything to play in the final fifteen minutes.

In the final period, the of the game, the Red Wings also took a more cautious approach. Grahn had 2 significant chances to score, but his shots were saved. Therefore, the game ended 3-3.

Final Thoughts
Both sides played well in certain periods of the game. However, the draw was a fair result. The game also showed that the Flyers and the Red Wings have similar qualities and similar gameplan.
