Don Mills Flyers Review
The Flyers made the biggest surprise of the season as they were the first team to beat the Marlboros for the first time this season. But they were not able to build on that momentum. The Flyers were with their backs on the wall for most of the 1st period of the game. Yet, their defensive game was solid until the 13th minute of the game when they conceded the first goal. A minute later, the puck was in their net again and they ended the first period of the game 2-0 behind.

In the 2nd period of the game, the Flyers stepped up their game. They had more chances compared to the first period of the game. Forward Kristian Lamanna managed to score in the 3rd minute through a counter-attack. It was a tap-in situation thanks to the great transitional movement of the team. However, that was not enough as their opponents were in control and scored to make it 3-1. Still, the Flyers stuck to their offensive game plan and Kelley scored a minute later to make it 2-3. That goal had a galvanizing effect on the team and resulted in increased pressure. At the end of the 2nd period, the Flyers managed to score through Marco Saroglou’s long shot to make it 3-3. The Flyers were back in the game. The Flyers ended the 2nd period of the game with 7 shots but were

In the final period of the game, the Flyers went all-in with the aim to take the lead. It seemed that they felt that they can get the win in this game. However, they got caught on the counter-attack and conceded the 4th goal. They were unlucky to lose the game 4-3 as they played well in the final period as well.

Markham Majors Review
The Majors played well in the first period of the game. They had a steady control of the puck but were not able to convert their chances. However, that changed in the 13th minute of the 1st period as Andrew Pittini scored from close range. A minute later, forward Logan Durno doubled their lead from close range as well. The Majors were the better team in the 1st period and deserved their lead.

In the 2nd period of the game, the Majors faced a completely different opponent as the Flyers stepped up. They conceded a goal early on and had to defend for a prolonged period. However, they took advantage of one defensive mistake of their opponents and scored a 3rd goal in the 5th minute through Taeo Artichuk. Yet that was not enough as their goaltender faced a barrage of shots. And that resulted in 2 conceded goals for a 3-3 score at the end of the 2nd period.

In the final period of the game, the Majors changed their tactics. They seemed determined to maintain control of the puck. That was there to be seen as their pressure was mounting. Also, when they had to defend, their transitional movements were fast and that resulted in a few significant counter-attacks. And in one of those transitions, Taeo Artichuk scored the 4th goal which meant a 4-3 win for the Majors.

Final Thought
This was a game between two teams that played with a high level of determination and character. Boty sides went for the win and it could have gone either way. However, the tactical discipline in the final period enabled the Majors to win this game.
