Toronto Young Nationals ReviewNationals
The Nationals started this game with a high level of determination. And that paid off as the Toronto side opened the score in the 5th minute of the 1st period. A great team celly followed as the confidence was evident among the Nationals players. They doubled their lead through the Pridnall’s masterclass finishing from a one on one situation. The Young Nationals ended the first period of the game with a 2-0 lead and with complete control of the game.

In the 2nd period of the game, the Nationals were under pressure as their opponents stepped up in the game. Also, they looked solid at the back in the early minutes. However, that defensive solidarity did not last long as they conceded a goal. Yet, the Nationals battled to maintain their lead and they had a couple of good chances. But Caldiero shots were saved. And they were punished for those missed chances as the Rebels equalized in the 13th minute.

In the final period of the game, the Nationals dominated the middle of the barn. Moreover, their defence looked more disciplined, and they had more energy in the team. That good play was rewarded as Allen scored to make it 3-2 for the Nationals. They showed character in the final period and deserved the win.

Missisauga Rebels Review
The Rebels had a slow start in the game. Goaltender Singh was their main man in the first period as he made 8 crucial saves. However, the talented athlete was not able to save every shot and conceded two goals in the first period of the game. The Rebels had 5 shots on goal but ended the period losing 2-0.

In the 2nd period of the game, the Rebels increased the quality of their game. And those efforts paid off as they scored early in the 2nd period through Kwok. However, their opponents quickly took the upper hand in the game again. Yet again, Singh played a key role as he made some crucial saves in the game. Therefore, that had a galvanizing effect on on the Rebels team and they equalized in the 13th minute of the period.

In the final period of the game, both teams had some good chances. However, the Rebels were not able to convert their chances. They conceded the 3rd goal and were not able to get back into the game. They could have conceded more but goaltender Singh managed to pull some outstanding saves.

Final Thoughts
This was a classic GTHL game between two equal teams. However, the Young Nationals were more clinical in the 3rd period of the game and secured the win. The Rebels showed that they have the quality, and that is something that they can build on.
