The GTHL was back on the schedule as the Toronto Red Wings clashed with the Mississauga Reps.
The Red Wings headed into this game after a 3-2 defeat in the game against the Majors. And on the other side, the Reps suffered a 4-1 defeat in the game against the Marlboros.

Toronto Red Wings Review
The Red Wings started with a formation that looked defensively stable. However, that was not the case as they conceded in the 2nd minute of the game. Also, they have conceded another goal in the 12th minute of the game and ended the first period of the game being 3-0 behind. On a positive note, Kirk and Grahm played well and goaltender Porporino made 4 saves in the game. McKenna made some strong tackles but that was not enough to keep the Reps at bay.

In the 2nd period of the game, the Red Wings stepped up their game. Liu played well and made 2 notable yard sale tackles. Also, Cooksey came close to score on two occasions.
Nevertheless, their defensive line was not at the necessary level and the Toronto side conceded 2 goals in the 2nd period of the game.

In the final period of the game, the Red Wings pushed forward and managed to score a goal through Jacob Carrol. However, that goal cam too late for the Toronto team to make an impact in the game. Also, it is important to emphasize that that bluelinesmen Sigalov was the brightest star in the team in the 3r period. The talented defencemen played a really well and that is something that pleased the Red Wings coach.

Mississauga Reps Review
The Reps had a good start in the game. Campbell moved the puck in a very intelligent way. And it did not take long for the Mississauga side as Levin scored in the 2nd minute of the game. Also defencemen Mcconnell-Fritz scored another goal to make it 2-0. Additionally, flamboyant forward Markevych scored another goal to make it 3-0 at the break for the Reps.

In the 2nd period of the game, the Reps continued with their strong team play. Bluelinesmen Batrkhanov scored a great goal from long range and Giles made it 5-0 for the Reps. The Toronto side is the better team and all the players looked like they are enjoying their hockey.

In the final period of the game, the Reps focused on maintaining the lead with Campbell being their best men on the ice. They did concede one goal, but they were never under threat in this game. Therefore, the 5-1 was well deserved.

Final Thought
On a final note, we can conclude that this was a routine win for the Reps. They are the better team and were in control throughout the game. As for the Red Wings, they were not up to the task in this game. They had players showing glimpses of talent, but that was not enough for them to cause troubles to the Reps’s defence.
