Toronto Red Wings Review
The Red Wings played an entertaining draw in their last GTHL game against the Flyers. However, they were not at their best during the first period of the game. They conceded a goal in the 1st minute of the game. And by the 6th minute, they were 3-0 down. The only positive in the first period was goaltender Lightfoot. But the talented athlete was not able to prevent 2 more goals in his net. Also, they managed to score a goal after a defensive error by the Vaughan defence.

In the 2nd period of the game, the Red Wings took a more proactive approach. Kirk was their main man during this period. However, they were not able to produce cleat cut scoring chances. Also, they conceded another goal. And that goal was a big blow for them. Goaltender Lightfoot made 5 saves during the 2nd period of the game.

In the final period of the game, the Red Wings made one last push in order to get back in the game. Their movements looked solid, and their offensive game was better. Therefore, they managed to score through Chan in the 8th minute. Yet, that was not enough as they lost 7-2.

Vaughan Kings Review
The Kings have been playing well in recent games. They had the winning momentum on their side before this game as they battered the Senators in their last game. And they started this game in a similar way as they opened the score in the 1st minute of the game through forward Rego. Three minutes late, Rego found himself in a one-on-one situation with the opposing goaltender after a counter-attack. His clinical finish made it 2-0 for the Kings. Shortly after, it was forward Jacob Strizzi that scored a great goal to make it 3-0.

The Kings were dominating the game and their defence was up to the task. Andrew Lani was a commanding figure at the blue line and all the attacks were going through him.
Therefore, the Vaughan side managed to maintain their pressure and to score two more goals through Supino and Wycisk. They only downside for the Kings as they conceded a goal in the 12th minute which set the result at 5-1 at the end of the first period.

In the 2nd period of the game, the Kings managed to maintain their defensive and tactical discipline. Moreover, they managed to score another goal for a 6-1 result at the end of the 2nd period. They also health with the high line pressure of the Red Wings during the 2nd period.

In the final period of the game, the Kings were focused on finishing the game and maintaining their lead. They conceded a goal in the 8th minute. But goaltender Miller made some remarkable saves in the final 5 minutes.

Final Thoughts
The Kings deserved to win this game. They played like a top-class team and dominated during the first period of the game. Not many teams can score 5 goals in 15 minutes. As for the Red Wings, it was obvious that the fatigue played a role in their performance. They played 2 games in 3 days and that did not help.
