Toronto Titans Review
The Titans started this game with high intensity and determination. Their defence looked really sharp and their forward players were very creative in the early stages of the game. Therefore, it did not take them long to open the score as Terrance’s great solo efforts result with the 1st goal in the game. Moreover, the team was dominating the barn and they kept great control of the biscuit. That resulted in another goal through Brooks.
Furthermore, the Titans played very well on the blue line with Ben Zucchet and Ethan Robinson preventing the Rangers from getting back into the game. Goaltender Lucas Malevris did the job when called upon and he ended the 1st period with 3 saves.
In the 2nd period of the game, the Titans continued with the domination. They were better on the power plays and were constantly mounting pressure on the Rangers. And it not took them long for another celly as Brooks lighted the lamp again with a close finish to make it 3-0.
Shortly after, Brooks was again involved in a few dangerous situations and scored the 4th goal for the Titans after a great combination with Maguire and Petrovski.
The Toronto side looked well in control at that point and defencemen Robinson scored the 5th goal of the game.
In the final period of the game, the Titans routinely sealed the win. They had total control and scored the 6th goal.
They played some great hockey and were clinical in front of goal. Surely, there is more to come from this team.
North York Rangers
The Rangers suffered a disappointing defeat in their opening game of the season against the Rebels. North York did not have a good start in this game as they conceded the 1st goal in the early minutes of the game. They made some strong attempts to get back into the game but were unable to put significant pressure on the Titans. Therefore, they ended the first period of the game with 2 conceded goals.
In the 2nd period of the game, the Rangers came close to score on two occasions, but forward Eithan Tierman was not able to pass through the opposing goaltender. Another bright factor in the North York side was goaltender Bou-Zeid with his top-class saves. However, the talented athlete was not able to prevent the Titans from scoring 2 goals in the 2nd period.
In the final period of the game, the Rangers were not able to put much resistance as they were already 5-0 behind. The team conceded the 6th goal which ended the disappointing day for them.
The Titans were the better team and they deserved to win this game. They played well and had total control throughout the game. After all, they are a team with some very promising players in their side capable of producing top-class performances.
