Toronto Young Nationals Review
The Nationals are a side that has some great individuals in their team. That was there to be seen at the start as Allen scored in the first minute of the game. A team celly followed and the Nationals looked in control. They dominated the middle of the ice and were strong at the blue line.
But, the Toronto side lost concentration in the final minutes of the first period and conceded a goal in the 14th minute.
In the 2nd period of the game, the Nationals took a more cautious approach. Also, their opponents stepped up in the game. Therefore, the Nationals conceded a goal in the 11th minute of the 2nd period. But even after the conceded goal, the Young Nationals kept their defensive composure and formation discipline.
Their resilience and tactical discipline made the difference for them in the final period of the game.
Therefore, they scored a great cheese goal in the 4th minute through Kustec. After that goal, the Nationals focused on defending and kept the score 3-2. In the end, it was a hard-fought win
Markham Majors Review
The Majors conceded an early goal in the game. Moreover, they conceded another goal in the 9th minute. On top of that, goaltender Quizi had to make some saves in order to keep the team in the game. Their offensive players also improved in the later minutes of the game. And the Markham side managed to take advantage of that and scored a goal in the 14th minute of the game.
In the 2nd period of the game, the Majors pushed forward. Their team play looked great and they managed to dominate in parts of the game. Therefore, they scored a great goal in the 11th minute through their talisman forward Artichuck.
In the final period of the game, the Majors fought well. But they took a lot of risks. That resulted in a conceded goal in the 4th minute. They tried to break down the defensive formation of the Nationals. But their efforts were futile.
Final Thoughts
This was a game in which both sides had their good moments in the game. However, it was the tactical discipline of the Nationals that enabled them to win this game. All in all, it was a great game for the neutral fan.
