Toronto Young Nationals Review
The Nationals headed into this game after they played an exciting game against the Reps. However, the Young Nationals seemed determined during the warm-up and had a good start of this game. Moreover, Kustec and McLean looked really solid and dominated the early minutes of the game. Also, Kirk was playing well in defence. Therefore, the Nationals were able to mount pressure to the opposing goaltender. And they scored two goals in a few minutes. Especially the goal scored by Capizzi was interesting as the young forward managed to capitalize on the defensive mistake of the Red Wings. Hirsh was also playing well and tested the opposing goaltender on a few occasions. The Nationals scored the 3rd goal in the 12th minute of the first period.

In the 2nd period of the game, the Nationals were still bombing forward. Also, McKenzie defended well and made some notable yard sale style tackles. He was supported by bluelinesmen Kirk. They managed to keep their opponents at bay and maintained the 3-0 lead at the end of the 2nd period of the game.

In the final period of the game, the Nationals had to change their tactics and they focused on defending. Their opponents took the initiative and managed to have better control of the puck. However, Kirk and McKenzie defended really well and managed to push back the pressure. Also, the Nationals came close on a few occasions to score the 4th goal but their finishing was not at the needed level. They ended the game maintaining the 3-0 lead from the first period.

Toronto Red Wings Review
The Red Wings did not have a good start in this game. Moreover, they conceded two consecutive goals, but goaltender Matteo Porporino played well and made some notable saves in the first period of the game. Also, Sigalov and Liu managed to consolidate the backline. However, that did not last long as the Red Wings conceded the third goal in the 12th minute of the 2nd period of the game. The Toronto side ended the first period with 4 shots on goal.

In the 2nd period of the game, the Red Wings tried to come back into the game. Moreover, Chan and Di Trani looked like a solid duo going forward. Their transitional movements were swift and effective. However, they were not able to break down their opponents and ended the 2nd period with 3 goals behind.

In the 3rd period of the game, the Red Wings took control of the game. They were dangerous going forward and Chan came close to score on numerous occasions. Also, McKenna was stable at the back and had some good long-range shots. However, the Red Wings were not able to score and ended up losing the game 3-0.

Final Thought
All in all, the Nationals managed to take advantage of their early chances and scored 3 goals. After that, they showed maturity and composure as they hold on to that lead until the end. On the other side, the Red Wings played well in the 2nd period and were dominant in the 3rd period of the game. Yet, that was not enough for them to get back into the game.
