The GTHL brought more action as the Toronto Young Nationals played against the Mississauga Reps. The Reps headed into this game after a 5-1 win in the game against the Red Wings. And on the other side, Nationals played out a 3-3 draw in the game against the Majors.

The Nationals showed some solid performances in their last GTHL game. Also, they had a good start in this game and opened the score in the 3rd minute through Allen’s long-range shot. Goaltender Rivett also played an integral part as he made some keys saves in the early minutes. The Nationals continued to play well and managed to double their lead in the 7th minute of the game. Andonovski played well at the blue line. Also, Allen and Hirsh made some notable tackles. That strong defensive line was also active on the offensive side of the game with some dangerous long-range shots. Defencemen Andovski managed to score the 3rd goal with a long shot in the 7th minute.

However, they were not able to maintain that tempo and their opponents took charge. Therefore, their opponents managed to score to make it 3-2 at the end of the first period.

In the 2nd period of the game, the Nationals were slightly better, but the Reps also played well. The game was open and both sides played with fast pace and resilience. Bullock and Andonvski were a constant threat with their shots from long range. But it was Allen that was the most notable player on the ice. Nevertheless, the Toronto side was unable to score past their opponents’ outstanding goaltender. They were also unlucky as they conceded with 12 seconds to go in the 2nd period. The Nationals had 10 shots on target in the 2nd period.

In the final period of the game, both teams had some great scoring chances. However, both goaltenders were outstanding. Therefore, thanks to Monaco and Rivett, the game ended 3-3.

The Reps did not have a good start in this game. Moreover, they were demolished in the first 7 minutes of the game as they conceded 3 goals. On a positive note, goaltender Monaco was in top form. He kept the team in the game with his saves. However, the team stepped up and Moore came close to score on a couple of occasions.
But it was bluelinesmen Batrkhanov that managed to score in the 13th minute of the game. Also, the commanding defencemen managed to score another goal to put the Reps back on track in this game.

In the 2nd period of the game, the Reps had to fight in order to maintain a balance in the middle of the ice. Also, the game was open and their main Campbell stepped in the game. His control of the puck was impressing and his runs were second to none. However, it was hard for the Reps as their opponents defended well and were strong on the offensive side of the game. But Campbell was on fire and the talismanic forward managed to pick an up the puck in from of goal and scored with 12 seconds left of the 2nd period.

In the final period of the game, both teams were up for battle. The Reps created great chances but were not able to beat Rivett. In the end, a draw was a fair result for the Reps.

Final Thought
Overall, this was a great game that could have either way. Both sides had their moment of domination and the draw was probably the fair result for both teams.
